The route
From Hohenschwangau follow the northern shore through woods. The southern shore turns rocky with views of Hohenschwangau Castle. Return past the lido.

Getting to the start
Buses run from Füssen station to Hohenschwangau. Car parks below the castles are paid and fill quickly in summer.
