The route
From Spitzingsee a track climbs via the Wildfeldalm to the Rotwandhaus. The 1,884 m summit shows everything from the Grossglockner to the Zugspitze. Return via the Kümpflscharte or the Taubenstein area.
Who is this walk for?
This walk needs stamina and sure feet on mountain paths. It is usually too long for small children.
Good to knowThe Rotwandhaus is open in summer; book in advance for overnight stays.
Getting to the start
Buses run from Fischhausen-Neuhaus station over the Spitzing Pass. The road is busy on fine days and parking is paid.
